Brandon: Wassup man!
Bei Maejor: Hey what’s going on?
Brandon: Not too much man, let’s get into this interview. Introduce yourself!
Bei Maejor: I’m Bei Maejor.
Bei Maejor: I’m a child of God. Music Producer. Songwriter. Student of everything. Trendsetter. Creator.
Brandon: Cool. How did it all start for you?
Bei Maejor: I was just having fun creating music in high school… I was about 16 or 17.
Bei Maejor: Got my first major placement when I was 18. It was on Trey Songz first album.
Brandon: What song was it?
Bei Maejor: “Ur Behind”
Brandon: That’s cool. Now since you’re a songwriter did you help with the writing of the song or did you just produce it?
Bei Maejor: On that one I just produce. Trey wrote it and shout out to Fynch, who co-wrote.
Bei Maejor: You can still hear him on the backgrounds at the end LOL.
Brandon: What was it like working with Trey?
Bei Maejor: Man… Trey is incredible. He works so fast and we have a lot of fun. it’s really not working at all. I learned a lot from Trey.
Brandon: That’s wassup! He seems like a chill and funny dude. Besides him, who else have you worked with?
Bei Maejor: Wow… a lot of people!
Bei Maejor: Recently… Ne-Yo, Monica, Letoya Luckett, Chrisette Michelle, Bun B, Plies, Chingy, Brutha, Suai, Kevin Michael…
Bei Maejor: Sometimes it’s hard to remember everyone but I’ve been blessed…extremely…wow.
Brandon: Yes you have and that’s a major list! Did you help with any production of the Brutha album?
Bei Maejor: No… the songs I did, didn’t make the final Brutha album (R.I.P. Shake)
Bei Maejor: They are still the homies tho.
Brandon: Yeah. I’m really diggin’ their album. I just wish there were more songs on it but it is their first so I can’t be picky.
Brandon: Seeing that every producer is following the trend of becoming a recording artist, do you plan to join the bandwagon and become a recording artist?
Bei Maejor: No I don’t foresee anything like that.
Brandon: What are some future project we can see from you?
Bei Maejor: Upcoming projects are Letoya Luckett and Monica right now… many more soon I will announce as they become official.
Brandon: Cool! Keep us in the know!
Brandon: What is it like working with you personally?
Bei Maejor: Hmm i dunno. I just have fun.
Bei Maejor: I don’t have a specific formula for working.
Brandon: That’s always good.
Brandon: When producing, do you allow the artist to give feedback on what they are looking for or do you just create and have the artist put their trust in you?
Bei Maejor: Working with the artist directly is always best in my opinion.
Brandon: And do you think it creates a better product in the end?
Bei Maejor: It appears to do so.
Brandon: Cool, now I’m going to switch to some less serious questions to connect to your fans.
Brandon: For the ladies, is Bei Maejor single?
Bei Maejor: Who knows.
Brandon: Is that too personal of a question?
Bei Maejor: LOL. Nah it’s cool I just like to mess with the interviewer sometimes.
Brandon: Haha. I had to pause for a minute! I thought to myself, “Shoot I think I went too far!”
Brandon: Well shoot, let the ladies know what qualities you look for.
Bei Maejor: No killers or stalkers.
Brandon: Hahahaha!!!
Brandon: Wow. Are you a family dude?
Bei Maejor: Oh yea of course.
Brandon: Nice nice. What’s your style like?
Bei Maejor: All over the place.
Bei Maejor: I try to not follow fashion much anymore. I’ll do whatever in style.. just like in music.
Bei Maejor: Whatever makes sense at the time in my brain. Sometimes I look back like… that wasn’t it LOL. But oh well.
Brandon: LOL.
Giel: LOL, which people do you look up to in the music wise?
Bei Maejor: Timbaland, music wise, is the best ever.
Brandon: Yes!!! Timbaland!!
Giel: Which artist would you love to work with that you haven’t had the chance of working with?
Bei Maejor: Hmmm…
Bei Maejor: Maybe someone like Stevie Wonder or old school like that.
Brandon: That cool. Who’s the best artist you’ve worked with so far?
Bei Maejor: That’s too hard.
Giel: How do you stay in touch with your fans?
Bei Maejor: Fans? No one likes me really.
Brandon: …lies
Giel: Yeah definitely
Brandon: You would’ve said that earlier. See I’ve caught on!
Giel: What do you think about the current state of the music industry?
Bei Maejor: LOL.
Bei Maejor: It’s just in a struggling process.
Brandon How do you think it could be fixed and in what areas need fixing?
Bei Maejor: I wish I had those answers. I’d be a millionaire.
Brandon: LOL. Well how would YOU fix it?
Bei Maejor: I’d just get rid of all the music and just make the world full of silence.
Brandon: …pause… you’re a producer and that doesn’t make much sense coming from you LOL.
Brandon: Where are you originally from and what we you like as a little kid?
Bei Maejor: I’m from Southfield, MI and I was an athlete.
Brandon: What sports?
Bei Maejor: Basketball and Track. I was a beast.
Brandon: Cool man. Well what advice would you give to an aspiring producer or artist?
Bei Maejor: Man keep creating, keep god first, and go hard.
Brandon: That’s wassup! What can we expect in the future from you?
Bei Maejor: I’m going to start fighting in the WWF under the name Kid Maejor – Let’s get it!
Bei Maejor: My bad. WWE I think… I dunno.
Brandon: Hahahaha. I’ll be on the look out for that!
