About Street Anthem

It started back in 2007 when editor-in-cheif, Brandon Williams, met David So. David was already an owner of a small music blog and Brandon was one of the daily visitors of the blog. The blog was on the verge of being shutdown because David didn’t have time to post like he wanted to and wanted to move the site over to a server of his own. Both Brandon and David started communicating about how we can prevent this from happening and it was upon the idea of starting a bigger blog and joining forces from Brandon, that Street Anthem was given life. Since 2007, both Williams and So have accomplished so many achievements with Street Anthem. Originally sporting the motto “Street Anthem | Hip Hop’s Sticky”, their goal was to give the urban entertainment world what they have been missing; a site that can be respected and earn the respect in a tasteful way. The motto soon changed to “Street Anthem | Your No.1 Source For Urban Entertainment”. Little did Williams and So know, they were in for a wild rollercoaster ride with this blog. The blog has been on the verge of shutdown many times but has bounced back and made a few full recovers. Our mission is to work closely with all urban artist, signed or unsigned, and create ways to help expose their talent. Why? Because here at Street Anthem, we love music and love people who take music seriously.
