Looks like Chris Brown’s next album could be coming sooner than we think. Last night Chris hosted a listening session for his fourth LP F.A.M.E + Fortune in the company of his manager Tina Davis, American Idol music director Ray Chew, several industry big names and media. which is due this spring. Billboard was also on hand during the session and tweeted a few details of the night. They revealed that the album is expected to be released this spring, which means we can expect an official single and music in about a month or so.
Breezy spent about 90 minutes playing tracks for his guests which included whole songs, and a few unfinished material. Some of the songs included the leaked tracks “Look At Me Now,” and his latest the Benny Benassi-produced “Beautiful People.” Billboard confirmed that the final tracklist is not yet done, so Jive Records and Chris’ management team does not want to reveal any titles just yet.
What they could speak on was the musical direction of this album. Chris draws a lot from his R&B roots while still incorporating house and dub music into his style. Listeners can also expect to hear some hip-hop and dance on the album, as well as more rapping and experimentation with tribal beats. Chris then ended the listening session by saying its “been a journey for me. Appreciate you all coming. I’m just doing my own thing musically.”
