I’m sure many of you tuned into the BET Awards when it aired live on June 28th, 2009. If you were one of the few that watched the whole thing, you would’ve seen Young Money’s performed of their smash hit Every Girl. The performance that they put on was very raunchy and vulgar as it was performed with both clean and dirty lines from the song. Furthermore, the person in control of the sound was not ready for the “unplanned” turn of events and didn’t expect to have to censor so many words, which by the way they failed horribly at. Below is the press issued statement from BET.
“BET Networks deeply regrets the performance by Young Money at the BET Awards ’09 (featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Gudda Gudda, and Mack Maine). Elements of the performance were unplanned and should not have happened,” the network said in a statement. “We value and appreciate the feedback from our viewers and have edited Young Money’s performance from all BET Awards ’09 encore presentations.”
BET plans to air an edited version of the show tomorrow, July 6th, 2009. The version used tomorrow will be used for any showing of the encore presentation. Personally, they should just give it up.

BET should apologize for the whole entire show it was crap from Kari, to Beyonce, to Jay, to Jamie Fox… what was the tribute??? Also LIL Wayne.

Horrible show and where was the Micahel Jackson Ttribute?? You had Jay Z promo his song and the Wife Bey show boating 1/2 naked singing a song she prob didn’t understand herself!!! The show was crap it was so unorganized and MJ did not work that way, his shows were the best. The Nerve of BET. Michael Jackso Memorial service was well put together considerin the crowd and time… No EGO performances it was all about Michael Jackson and the Family!!! I hope BET was taking notes, that is how you plan a tribute/memorial service… The whole BET line up was crap with the exception of New Edition and the Ojays…..
