So I was over at one of my new favorite blogspots, BwtyKwns, a few days ago and was reading some of the news they had recently posted. For those of you who don’t know BwtyKwns, it’s a new Seattle based clothing line that is currently in its starting stages and on their blog, they blog about fashion and local Seattle events, etc. One article caught my eye and I talked to Paulina, one of the owners, about this story. “There are rumors that Kanye´s “Graduation” was his last official album.
A very influential music exec claims that the rapper is contemplating retirement after his “Glow In The Dark” tour, according to MediaTakeOut.com
The music insider explained, “He’s been through a lot in the past year and I know he’s just not into [music] like he was before.” The insider added, “When I spoke to him, he just kept talking about how he wanted to go into fashion. [To] create his own label and all that.”Kanye West’s mother passed away in November 2007 due to what has since been described as “surgical complications.”The executive also said, “Right now he’s at the top of his game … and it’s always best to go out on top.”

Do yall remember when people said my fiance was pregnant???? What happened to that rumor????? I guess after we broke up it was just forgot about???? I’m just using that as an example of how people make up stuff and everybody runs with it. I had my own family asking me about that. Now the media is saying I’m going to anger management something or ‘nother. I have never had any conversations about anger management. If anything, I need anger enhancement!! lol! I get off the plane in Hawaii today and the world is saying my management team said blah blah blah… SIIIIIIGGGHHHH! I told the media you can’t make up lies about me because I have a media outlet myself. Oh and sidebar I don’t know if everyone has realized this yet but I don’t do interviews if there’s anything I wanna say I’ll say right here on my own blog.
Okay everyone, let’s take a step back and breathe for minute. I would like us all to think about how many artist have said they are going to retire yet we still find them coming back in the game, take a second to count… I know you needed more than your hands and toes, right? Now when I hear the word retirement, the first thing that comes to mind is sittin you ass down and not coming back PERIOD! I don’t mean pulling an Ice T either, don’t even put out any more albums if you retire. Now we have word that kanYe could be retiring… if kanYe retires… that would be like Oprah getting shot. Yes, I think he’s that big of a person. kanYe is sitting on top of the world right now and I can’t even count how many times I have thought to myself, “…what wil Ye do next?” What will he do after this insanely unique Glow In The Dark phase. I, personally, believe he has set the bar so high that he couldn’t even top his own status. Now, I could see him pursuing a career like Timbaland’s where he just produces music and comes out with albums similar to Timbo’s. kanYe is so great at everything and I hope he doesn’t retire but if he does I can understand why because it is best to go out when you’re on top. And besides, it won’t be over for Ye because his clothing line Pastelles is on it’s way out any moment! What are your thoughts on this? I will put this under both News and Gossip 101 because I still have the feeling this may be a rumor.
